Nantucket & Other Native Places
The Legacy of Elizabeth Alden Little
Nantucket and Other Native Places is a Memorial Volume honoring Elizabeth (Betty) Little who passed away in 2003. Betty was President of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society from 1984-1986. The Society is co-publisher with SUNY Press, Albany, New York. This volume is a "Festschrift" of chapters written by archaeologists who knew Betty and were influenced by her during her lifetime. The papers cover research areas which were of special interest to Betty, which means that they will also be of interest to the archaeological community, especially in Southern New England.
At the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society (MAS), the program consisted of presentations by many of the authors who contributed chapters to the volume and the meeting was followed by a gala book signing and reception at the Robbins Museum. Below are highlights of this event followed by a listing of chapters. This book is available at the Robbins Museum Store and also on the MAS Online Store.

Co-Editors Elizabeth Chilton and Mary Lynne Rainey with Dr. John Little, Betty's husband.
