Archaeology on the Taunton River, a Canoe/Kayak Tour
The Massachusetts Archaeological Society and the Taunton River Watershed Alliance sponsored the “Archaeology on the Taunton Canoe/Kayak Tour” on October 6, guided by Dr. Curtiss Hoffman of MAS. This tour celebrated the Taunton River, its rich archaeological history
and its present day recreational and environmental value to
Massachusetts. It encouraged participants to support the Wild and Scenic
River designation for the Taunton River and to advocate for protection
of the associated archaeological sites.
