Wapanucket Reprinted

The Middleborough Cultural Council awarded a grant to the Massachusetts Archaeological Society (MAS) to underwrite the cost of reprinting Wapanucket, a book by Maurice (Doc) Robbins, the first Massachusetts State Archaeologist and a founding member of MAS.  This book details the excavation of an important Native American site on the shore of Assawompsett Pond undertaken over fifty years ago by the Cohannet Chapter of the Society. The Wapanucket site is a locally important site that is recognized as having a broad regional significance.
       
Wapanucket was first published in 1980 and has been unavailable for some time.  It can be ordered from the Massachusetts Archaeological Society for a price of $25, with $3.50 for shipping and handling, for a total of $28.50. To order, please send a note with your check for $28.50 to MAS at:
