The Bulletin is the primary, peer-reviewed publication of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society, first issued in October 1939. Each issue has important articles on Massachusetts archaeology, anthropology, history, and allied fields. About the Editor
Bulletin editor Ryan Wheeler is the director of the Robert S. Peabody Institute of Archaeology in Andover, MA. Ryan has lots of experience editing archaeological journals; from 1999 to 2006 he served as editor of the quarterly, The Florida Anthropologist. Ryan enjoys working with seasoned authors and those looking to publish their first article!
For Authors
Authors should follow the basic formatting of recent issues, using minimal formatting, and should submit materials electronically in MS Word to the editor. Images should be high resolution, at least 600 dpi, and in jpg or tif format. Submit images as separate files, and not embedded in a Word document. The Bulletin of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society is published twice a year, with a spring issue (Number 1) and a fall issue (Number 2).
