The MAS Southeast Chapter holds meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at the Robbins Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, 17 Jackson St, Middleborough, MA. For more information, please contact Greg Lott (gregorymlott@gmail.com).
Meetings
Welcome to the Southeast Chapter, the only Mass Archaeology chapter to be headquartered at the Robbins Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology! Chapter meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, January through December (weather permitting). Meetings begin at 7:00 PM and are held in the Luedtke Conference Room at the Robbins. Our programs are free and open to the public. The Robbins Museum is ADA accessible and there is free parking across the street.
Lectures
Guest lectures by regional scholars and researchers start after a short Southeast Chapter business meeting. We host experts from a wide variety of specialties within archaeology, history, and cultural studies. Lectures are free and open to the public, but we welcome your donations to keep our programs running. See our Southeast Chapter calendar for speakers and topics.
Events
The December Meeting offers short talks by chapter members and friends, which is then followed by our annual Potluck Dinner.
Calendar
Due to the temporary pandemic closure of the Robbins Museum, no programs are currently scheduled. Please check back with us for further details or subscribe to the Mass Archaeology e-newsletter to keep up to date on events and programs across the Commonwealth.
Chapter Membership & Officers
Southeast Chapter membership is free, but we encourage attendees to contribute at each meeting to help cover the cost of hosting our speakers.Â
