FREE Wampanoag Heritage and Archaeology Fair at the Robbins

Mass Archaeology invites you to the Robbins Museum of Archaeology in Middleborough on Saturday, October 15, for the Wampanoag Heritage and Archaeology Fair.

Join us for a celebration of national Archaeology Month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and learn about Indigenous arts, culture, and history! Tour the Robbins Museum to see thousands of artifacts dating back nearly 12,000 years. Try hands-on activities that get you closer to the science of archaeology. Make your own wampum pendant and hear about the history of this cultural material. And, meet with professional archaeologists from across Massachusetts, who can identify your artifacts.

For more information, visit our website at MassArchaeology.org, find us on social media (FacebookInstagram, and YouTube), or email info@massarchaeology.org. The event is FREE, but donations are welcome to support our statewide mission to foster respect for the archaeological heritage of the Commonwealth through research, education, and preservation. The Robbins Museum at 17 Jackson Street in Middleborough is ADA accessible, and there is plenty of free parking across the street in the municipal lot. Come enjoy a day of fun while growing your understanding of the Indigenous cultures and archaeological history of Massachusetts!
